Who we are

Helen E. Davis, LMFT, PhD, is a Psychotherapist, a Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher (MBSR), a Certified Mindfulness Mentor and Writer.


Her intent is to contribute to the healing of individuals physiological, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. 

She believes that everything we experience in life affects our thoughts, our emotions, what is felt in our bodies physiologically and our resulting decisions and behaviors.  Her role as a psychotherapist of over 30 years where she uses Cognitive Therapy, Somatic Work, EMDR and Mindfulness focuses on trauma, anxiety, complicated grief, depression and the elevations of one’s esteem, is complimented by her years of teaching mindfulness and writing. 


Committed to promoting wellness, Dr. Davis teaches mindfulness classes at UCSD and through her psychology practice, has presented at Mind & Life, UCSD, Girl Scouts of America, Mindful Teacher Community Network, and community organizations.  She additionally engages in diversity and equity activities and writes on inclusivity, awareness, and self-empowerment.
